Mumbles Motor Boat & Fishing Club
Minimum Fish Take Sizes
Give fish a chance - These sizes are a Club measure to help ensure the future of a species, use these and you can be reasonably certain a fish has had a chance to breed. The measures are from tip to tail. The taking of BASS must comply with EU/Welsh assembly policies. Under NO certain circumstance it is permitted for members to take a BASS, in the catch and release period. |

Conservation Notes:
Anglers should be aware when using crab for bait that there are size limits to be observed and it is their responsibility should the Club boat(s) be inspected by the Fisheries Authorities.
Catch & release (C&R): The following fish must be returned alive and unhurt: Bass, Common/Silver eel, Shad, ALL Skate, ALL Sharks, Tope (illegal to keep), Spurdog, Undulate Ray.
On any one of the Club's fishing trips we operate a general bag limit policy:
Bag size: The
advised number of fish per angler per day of any single species is 3 fish. Unless the species is protected by
conservation regulations e.g. bass (zero per person per day all year. Catch & release only). Currently, mackerel, whiting and dabs have an unrestricted bag size. To conserve fish stock we would like all fish in their breeding/spawning season returned a live and well. In particular Bream- female returned alive before 1 July and all male returned alive after 1 July
